OUR MISSION
The Lancaster Playhouse is a non-profit community organization dedicated to promoting the theatre arts in Lancaster and the surrounding area. Our mission is to create a theatrical experience that will entertain, inspire, and challenge our audiences, actors, and volunteers.

In 2015, a group of local theater lovers started The Lancaster Playhouse with the dream of creating quality theater that would enrich the lives of both the audiences and the participants. Fittingly, we recognize the following founding members and thank them for their vision, tenacity, and enduring inspiration:
Loran Peterson ⧫ Rosemary Hajost ⧫ Ken Culver ⧫ Jennifer Myers

Become a Member!
Are you looking for a creative outlet for your time and talent but haven’t quite found it yet? Consider volunteering at the Lancaster Playhouse! It's free to join us. You'll just need a love of Theatre.
We can always use help with ushering, greeting guests, working at intermissions, building sets, managing props, costumes or publicity. Members get to help pick scripts, plan events, and get a front row seat to how theatre works. Members can be as involved as they like: trying out for plays or participating in workshops. Members are how we build our board; so if you are interested in being on the board--get involved!!
We are all about building a theatre community so volunteer a little or a lot.
We would love to have you!
